Ship Classes

In the Gridwerks Universe we have added a system that hopes to achieve a truly unique experience when it comes to building ships. This means that certain blocks

are limited by points and the points are determined

by the core block that is on your grid. All grids must have

a core block for the grid to function.

The main categories are power, weapons and utility blocks. This makes it so that there is no clear META when it comes to combat ships. You must choose between your shield strength and your firepower to develop the most effective ship for your play style.

To get started building a grid, find the "Cores" category of the "G" menu.

Each core will tell you how many points it has assigned.

All weapon blocks are divided into various categories on the G menu,

you can view their point values by highlighting the category with your mouse.

If you go over the core limit your power blocks are punished by being turned off,

and your weapon and utility blocks are punished by being broken to functional.

They will require welding to be used again.

You can view additional information in the control panel of the core block. This is where your point total is kept and it will also tell you if you are over the limits on something specific. You can also view point values of individual items by looking in that blocks control panel output as well.
